Religious extremists are leaving no stone unturned to tarnish the image of Islam. They are practicing their perverted version of Shariat, which has no similarity with the Shariat-e-Mutahira of our Beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW).A clip of a 17 year young girl flogged by Swat Taliban and the official response of Swat Taliban to the incident is circulating in the cyberspace.
Muslim Khan, official spokesman of Taliban, commented on the incident that punishment was given to the girl without complete investigations. This is severe violation of teachings of Islam and our religious scholars should openly condemn it.
Muslim Khan also said that once Qazi Courts start functioning then hearing of cases and implementation of justice will be the responsibility of Qazis. In other words no one, except, the concerned institution of the state will hear the cases, and implement the justice. If this is what he wanted to say then can we ask, in which capacity, Taliban, have given punishment to the accused girl?
